Since we have an astronomical type theme, I suppose it would be a good idea to report on the weather. The space weather, that is!
According to spaceweather.com, this week's full moon is called the Full Sprouting Grass moon "because it shines down on the new grasses of northern spring."

The full moon in general is also associated with insomnia and insanity, though it can not be proven, and it is most commonly known for werewolves! Which do no exist, Twilight fangirls, so don't cream your jeans just yet.
I just went outside not too long ago and was lucky enough to see the full moon tonight! It has been super cloudy and slightly rainy all day, so I wasn't very hopeful of seeing it. But, the clouds have cleared, and the moon is shining bright tonight!
I also learned today that you can see a shooting star (which is actually just a meteor, which is a tiny meteoroid (space rock) that burns up in Earth's atmosphere) any clear night! Or even several of them in a night! Of course, that's probably only when you live somewhere far away from city lights, and the chances of seeing one (or more) are much greater if it's not a full moon because the brightness of the moon tends to wash out the light of the "shooting star." I've actually seen a shooting star once, and it was purely by chance. I just happened to be looking in the right place at the right time (for no particular reason, I wasn't actually looking for anything), and I saw one! They only last for a split second, so don't blink! :)
